DID YOU KNOW?

The German railway system has been reduced by 6100km (13%) since 1994. Only because no economically viable solutions have been found, these tracks are lost forever. This trend continues and needs to be stopped.

CHALLENGE

Current trains are too large and costly while not providing convincing mobility-solutions in the German countryside. This leads to overpopulation in cities and a car-fuelled economy, while rail-infrastructure gets deconstructed.

SOLUTION

Light and autonomous rail-shuttles will be able to provide mobility in areas where the current trains are too expensive and not optimised for less populated areas.

Their solution will push for a change in rail-mobility and offer new and more economic solutions to EVUs. Akkio provides two products for different use cases.
