DID YOU KNOW?

As the e-commerce market continues to expand, it’s becoming more important than ever for businesses to provide superior shopping (and logistics) experiences in order to win customers over. According to a study published in 2017 last mile delivery is believed to be a $ 3 billion market for transportation companies, as customers continue to demand this service as part of their overall e-commerce experience.

CHALLENGE

Doorstep delivery of goods is becoming more and more expensive for online retailers and stationery shops. Moreover, competition is forcing logistics companies to offer razor-thin margins. The customer journey can be quite tedious when the recipient is not at home. Most deliveries are made during the day, e.g. during working hours. The service provided is not so good in the end, but costs more than necessary.

SOLUTION

A semi-autonomous last-mile delivery solution with optimized size and capacity ready to be deployed in suburban areas which are far less challenging for AI. The vehicles will be remotely controlled by humans to overcome new obstacles, thereby increasing delivery efficiency. humAIn hybrid applies a lean software development approach.

The team aims for early yet safe deployment of
semi-autonomous technology.
